Good weekend, Connecticut Sheep & Wool is fun, especially with good friends. I was good, didn’t spend that much. Was saved from both a Magpie and a Forester spindle by my dear friends throwing themselves in front of the bullets.

I did buy a lovely Border Leicester fleece though, heather grey, which I should have back in roving form in a monthish.

Some spinning has been happening, the big guy and I have been getting to know eachother. Names in the lead right now are Luchta and Strider (He said no to Bragi)

Also, more weaving. Working on a spindle bag for the Greensleeves.

Bag Weaving

Otherwise, brain no worky. Going to try to get a shop update this week, but the first priority this week is getting a draft of the scientific paper to my boss before her vacation.

  1. Love the weaving! I’m really wanting a small loom. Do you have a blog post ’splaining your loom? I want one! Bad!

I could make one! Though I’m just learning it myself. It’s a loan from my friend Lynn. I want a floor loom now. Aaack!

  3. ‘On loan from friend is always good!’ I’m thinking about the make one myself thing, too – just to see if it’s something I’ll want to keep doing.

Ooh that could be cool and fun. Warning: It is highly addictive.

  5. the weaving looks awesome – love the colors. I really liked CTS&W, what they didn’t have in size they had in quality

  6. Hmmm. I vote for Strider. Although Aragorn would match better. Harder to pronounce.

Aragorn is right out. He threatened to throw a bearing. What, Luchtaine isn’t hard enough to pronounce (properly)?

  8. Is there anything you DON”T know how to do? Seriously.

  9. I love the weaving and the loom. Now I want one.
