I Knit! The Volcanic Hat

I will call this fall beanie hat a qualified success.

Hat

This is knit with my Kappa yarn (Worsted weight, 50/50 Wool/Alpaca) in the “Volcanic” colorway, the double flashing version (two short runs of the color).

Cast on 100 stitches.
3×2 Ribbing at the bottom done with a #6 circ
Body done with a #7 circ.

Body is knit, color runs are purled.

I like the pattern (from my head), but I think I’d dye both of the “black” runs the same next time, rather than with a green black and a brown black.

Empty Shop…

So you might have noticed most of the shop is missing!

That is because it is May.

Much of the shop was sent off to be at Maryland Sheep and Wool this weekend! It will be with the Tsocktsarina and others in booth N5. I do not know where that is. Someday I shall be able to be at MDSW myself!

Instead I will be here, dyeing madly for the shop and for New Hampshire Sheep and Wool, which comes next weekend. And Massachusetts Sheep and Wool, which comes shortly after.

In the meantime, I might even manage some stuff for the shop again! Weeee!
